APPDA Coimbra, organized colorful events as part of April 2nd Autism Awareness Day. The activities of our participating institution, which uses colors to symbolize a more inclusive society, attracted great attention.

Yusuf Karaman Special Education Practice School held a meeting for families. Work packages, goals and opportunities of the project to the target groups were explained in detail.

Within the scope of April 2 World Autism Awareness Day, in order to raise awareness about autism and find solutions to autism-related problems; Deputy Minister of National Education Mr. Osman SEZGİN, Çankaya District Governor Mr. Murat DURU, Special Education and Guidance Services General Manager Mr. Cemal ÖZDEMİR, Ankara Provincial Director of National Education Mr. Harun FATSA, MEB Special Education and Inclusion Department Head Ms. Şule DOĞANOĞLU, Research Development and Projects Department President Mr. Fatih PAÇA, District National Education Director Mr. Ayhan IŞIK and National Education Branch Managers visited our school and participated in our event. After the opening speech of our School Principal, Mr. Saadet KASAPOĞLU, Deputy Minister of National Education, Mr. Osman SEZGİN; Under the coordination of our school's Visual Arts and Crafts course teacher Fadime ÖZDİYEN, the exhibition opened the works of our students. Deputy Minister of National Education Mr. Osman SEZGİN; He expressed his gratitude to those who contributed, stating that students with special education needs are needed to see the beauties of the places. Following the speech of the Deputy Minister of National Education, Mr. Osman SEZGİN, the event program ended with the printing work of the students, the rhythm group's show, tree planting in the school garden, and the flying of blue balloons, which is the color of awareness of autism, red, symbolizing acceptance of autism, and black balloons for our citizens who lost their lives in the earthquake.
